The EXIN Foundation is working to develop certification programs in 'cloud computing' and 'green IT'.
In 2007, the OGC (Office of Government Commerce), which owns the intellectual property ITIL decided to change the accreditation scheme for which examinations are administered at the highest level by APM Group, which acts as the official ITIL accreditation to OGC. Examinations, the rating structure and the same is done in turn by Examination Institute.
Ricardo Santiago, director general of the English subsidiary of EXIN (Examination Institute for Information Science), a Dutch non-profit that landed in Mexico in 2007. "The choice of Spain is strategic because it acts as a bridge to the English market" says Santiago.
The English subsidiary is the second location EXIN available in Europe as well as headquarters in the Netherlands, which continues to act "back-office as European as it is where correct all examinations and certificates are sent " says Santiago.
In these three years of activity in Spain EXIN has seen a growth in the number of certificates of between 7 % to 10%. The bulk of them concentrated in Madrid and Barcelona but "has been detected in Andalucia, Comunidad Valenciana, Extremadura and Galicia are increasing requests for examination , according to James.
