Geothermal Power Plants in Spain

A of renewable energy sources and a lesser known alternative to the depletion of fossil fuels is geothermal energy. Is stored at the Earth's surface as heat and linked to volcanoes, hot termanles, fumaroles and geysers.

In Spain, Almeria although there are plenty of places suitable for building geothermal plants, has not built any yet. In the Canary island of La Palma is studying the construction of a geothermal plant to cover part of its electricity needs, as today the island's dependence on fossil fuels is 95%.
